I love you more than you’ll ever know
It was so SO hard to let you go
But when you meowed your last meow,
and purred your last purr
and stopped grooming your silky fur…
When you turned away from your favorite dish
I knew you were letting me know your final wish
It was nice to have you on my lap
A painless way to die,
For you it was just a nice long nap…
For me… a final goodbye
These tears I cry are selfish tears
Because I miss you so much my friend
You gave me so much in your 14 years
You deserved a comfortable end…
I’m glad you’re free from all your pain
and purring in heaven ’til we meet again…
