In-home euthanasia fees

Our in-home euthanasia fees are some of the lowest in the San Diego area, and there is no extra charge for weekend visits. As an independent, women-owned practice, we keep our pricing simple and posted in full.
Your visit includes: anesthetic sedation before euthanasia, IV catheter placement whenever possible, and notification to your pet’s referring veterinarian.
Additional costs: Travel and aftercare fees are additional when applicable. See the options and ZIP-based travel fees below.
Appointments are available seven days a week, subject to availability. Standard-hours appointments are from 9am to 4:30pm, and our after-hours appointment is at 6pm. Please contact our team to book a time and receive your total quote.
Aquamation through Peaceful Waters
Individual (private) and communal aquamation are available at an additional cost.

Private aquamation includes a lock of fur in a glass vial, a clay paw print, and a bamboo urn engraved with your pet’s name. Applicable sales tax is additional on private aquamation and paw-print add-ons.
Communal aquamation includes ashes spread at sea by Oceans of Love during a nautical ceremony. These ashes are not returned.
Keepsakes and home delivery

Deceased pet pickup and transport
If your pet has passed away at home without euthanasia, a Transitions staff member can pick up your pet and transport them to the aftercare facility, subject to availability. These fees cover pickup and transport and are separate from euthanasia visits and ZIP-based euthanasia travel fees.

Travel fees are added to the in-home euthanasia visit fee. These are separate from deceased pet pickup fees. For example, a standard-hours $345 visit in a ZIP code with a $75 travel fee is $420 before aftercare or other selected options.

- Prepare a comfortable space. Choose a familiar place where your pet can rest. Let us know about stairs, parking, gate access, or other needs before the visit.
- A peaceful visit at home. Our veterinarian will guide you through the process. Anesthetic sedation is provided before euthanasia.
- Aftercare support. We’ll help coordinate your selected aftercare and notify your pet’s referring veterinarian.
